Anna M. McFarland (Gordon) age 73 , passed away peacefully Sunday morning January 27th 2019 at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville , MD.
Anna better known to her Family and Friends as Annie or Aunt Anna , was born December 20th 1945 in Easton Maryland to Rosie Sorrell and Richard Sorrell / Johnson. She attended Queen Anne’s County High School and also Completed some studies at Chesapeake Community College of Wye Mills , Md.
Anna was married at the young age of 17 for the first time to the late Thomas Carol Gordon and from that union one child was born , She later married Vernel Roosevelt McFarland Sr.and from that union two children were born. Anna was a very Loving and outgoing person bringing laughter and joy everywhere she went to everyone around her, She took pride in Caregiving and taking care of others such as Homecare Aid and Companion Care to the Elderly, and Adolesense houses for troubled boys . She also worked in the B&S fishery seafood company on the Kent Narrows for some of her younger years just to name a few. She was no stranger to Hardwork and Sacrifice an after many years she settled onto Forest Road of Grasonville, Md where she Resided for 50+ years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Sorrell , father, Richard Sorrell, siblings, Jamie Sorrell, Gladys Sorrell, Shirley Veeney, Alice Courtney, Nathaniel Veeney and Mary Taylor and a Son, Vernel McFarland , a Granddaughter, Alaziah Peete and Great Grandson, Tyron Green Jr.
She leaves behind threw her Memory her two Daughters Audra Gordon and Te’ana McFarland; three Granddaughters India Gordon, Felicia McFarland and Jada McFarland along with seven Grandsons Amaul Gordon , Vernel McFarland III , Immanuel McFarland, Nashawn McFarland, Brian Mathews Jr. and Dominique Rosado; five Great Grandsons Zy’Myire Gordon, Tyron Green Jr. , Ji’Mir McFarland, Aiden Stowers and Zakari McFarland; three Great Granddaughters Zy’Nir Marine, Alaziah McFarland and Aaliyah Williams; three siblings, Dorothy Keene, Lloyd Veeney and Richard Sorrell Sr. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
